Hi everyone,
Just a quick catch-up on a few events that are happening over the next few weeks.
Gregory Dowling and I are heading off to Scotland for the Cromarty Crime and Thrillers Weekend which runs from 1- 3 May, where we’ll be talking about all things Venetian! Yes, we’re heading all the way to the Black Isle to talk about Italian Crime and maybe just a little bit of Venice Noir. Gregory might just mention Lord Byron. I might just talk a bit about Italian Progressive Rock. At any rate, It’s a cracking line-up and we’re both really excited – and we hope to see you there.

Along the way I’ll be stopping off at Edinburgh Waterstones to sign copies of “Magus of Sicily” – now, this isn’t an official event and I won’t be giving a talk or anything like that – but if you’re in Edinburgh, they’ll have signed copies in stock from next Friday!

And, finally, David Hewson will be making the journey in the opposite direction, as the two of us will be in conversation at the Circolo Italo Britannico at the Collegium Tarsicii (1731 Frezzaria) in Venice at 18.00 on May 18th. David will be talking about his latest novel “The Devil in Dorsoduro”, whilst I will be talking about “Magus” and looking forward to “The Venetian Redemption”. And, again, we might just drop a few hints about this year’s Venice Noir. (note that the Circolo is a private members’ organisation , but non-members are welcome to attend with a donation!)
Hope to see you in the next couple of weeks – if not, I hope to be posting soon about events for the launch of “The Venetian Redemption”!
